Ilmora for Kids

A calm, playful app where children meet Arabic letters, hear their sounds and learn to write them, with a friendly lantern guide called Nuri.

What a lesson looks like

  • 1
Meet: a new letter appears with its name.
  • 2
Listen: hear the sound, as often and as slowly as needed.
  • 3
Practise: find the letter by tapping, listening or watching.
  • 4
Trace: write the letter with a finger. Strokes turn green when right; a calm prompt helps when not.
  • 5
Review: collect stars and choose what to do next.

Levels follow the full path: Free Arabic Foundations, Qa’ida, Nazirah (Qur’an reading), Tajweed and Islamic Studies, Advanced Study and Hifdh. The first level is free for every child.

Safe by design

  • A parent or guardian links every device with a single-use code from Ilmora Learn.
  • No chat, no ads and no public profiles. Teacher notes are always visible to parents.
  • We only collect a first name or nickname and an age group, never a birth date.
  • Lessons are checked by qualified teachers and approved by Islamic content reviewers.
  • Lessons can be saved for offline use, and progress syncs when the internet is back.

Support for every child

A parent chooses what their child needs, and the app changes to fit:
  • Blind: every screen is read aloud, sounds play by themselves, and tracing is guided by spoken directions and vibration.
  • Deaf: words on screen for everything, picture cues and vibration instead of sounds, and “see and feel” letter activities.
  • Cerebral palsy or motor differences: bigger buttons, protection from accidental taps, choices that light up one at a time, and no time limits.
Scanning mode: one big button chooses the highlighted letter
